Discovery I
Front Winch Bumper
Main structure is built from 1/4" boxed rectangle tube. Frame mounts and winch plate are also made from 1/4" steel. Lower valance and optional skid plate are made from 3/16" steel. Recovery points accept ¾" shackles and are made from 1"x2" steel and are fully welded to the frame mounts and main structure of the bumper. All bumpers are completely painted with an industrial undercoating and a second coat of paint to all exterior surfaces. Please choose from Flat, Semi-gloss or Gloss Black and custom colors are welcome at an additional cost. Please note that our bumpers are not designed to be used with a roller fairlead and you must use a Hawse fairlead. Using cable or synthetic winch rope does not matter. There is also a small amount of cutting to the grill that will be required, how much depends on the winch and user preference.

Rear Winch Bumper With Integrated Tire Carrier
Main structure is built from 1/4" steel. Frame mounts are made from 1/2" steel. Lower valance and optional skid plate are made from 3/16" steel. Recovery points accept ¾" shackles and are made from 1"x2" steel and are fully welded to the frame mounts and main structure of the bumper. Bumper uses factory mounting points utilizing 4 bolts. All bumpers are completely painted with an industrial undercoating and a second coat of paint to all exterior surfaces. Please choose from Flat, Semi-gloss or Gloss Black and custom colors are welcome at an additional cost. There is also a small amount of cutting to the lower quarter panel that will be required, how much depends on user preference but usually is around 2"-3".

Rear winch option
Bumper is same as above except for the following - The rear cross member must be removed and a new one supplied with bumper must be welded back in place. The winch solenoid must be remotely located. The bumper has a winch access door to get to the drum and help when taking in the cable or rope to make sure it spools correctly. This door is held shut with a magnet (50lbs of pull are required to open it) so there are no latches or pins to remove. Simply open with one finger and layup and handle your business. This option is designed for a Hawse fairlead so a roller fairlead may not fit properly or may interfere with the opening of the rear door.

Rear integrated tire carrier
This option is designed to carry the weight of your spare tire and remove the stress placed on the rear door hinges. This design allows you to open your rear door and the tire carrier opens via linkage which eliminates having to unlatch a pin and having the door free to swing uncontrolled. This unit is designed to hold up to a 38" tire. Rear window vision will be limited compared to the stock location due to the tire position which is raised to avoid hitting the tire when dropping off of obstacles. These also have Hi-Lift jack mounts built into the carrier standard.

Recovery points accept ¾" shackles and are made from 1"x2" steel and are fully welded to the frame mounts and main structure of the bumper. DII bumpers have 6 mounting bolts to avoid rotation of the bumper under winching or impacts to obstacles on the trail. The washer bottle is covered and protected from the front and side and does not need to be relocated. Please specify if you are not using the washer bottle and want the side valance to be higher. All bumpers are completely painted with an industrial undercoating and a second coat of paint to all exterior surfaces. Please choose from Flat, Semi-gloss or Gloss Black and custom colors are welcome at an additional cost.
